The Climate Virtual ExChange: Enhancing Climate Awareness in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean Area (CliVEx) is a 3-year project designed to promote intercultural dialogue between students from Europe and the Southern Mediterranean region on the issue of climate change. The project involves 16 Higher Education Institutions across 15 countries: Algeria, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Syria, and Tunisia. A total of 1,500 participants will engage in 5 Virtual Exchange “Climate Justice” iterations. Additionally, the project will train 1,000 young online dialogue facilitators, including students and young academic staff, to lead discussions among Virtual Exchange participants. This will create a community of skilled, certified, and experienced facilitators capable of supporting future Virtual Exchange initiatives.
